About Intermediate Culinary Arts
The DYEN Intermediate Culinary Arts program is a free, scholarship-based advanced chef training course in Warri, Delta State. Designed for individuals who already have basic cooking skills and want to pursue professional-level culinary competence, this program deepens knowledge in cooking methods, stocks and sauces, seafood cookery, and both African and continental cuisine. It is ideal for graduates of the Basic Culinary Arts program or anyone with foundational kitchen experience who wants a chef certification in Warri.
Across 16 weeks of intensive, hands-on training, students explore a wide range of professional techniques — from searing, basting, and deglazing to preparing stocks, cold dishes, and popular dishes from across Africa. The program places special emphasis on culinary fundamentals that underpin professional kitchen work, ensuring students are prepared for high-pressure restaurant and catering environments.
Graduates emerge with the skills and confidence to work in professional kitchens, launch catering enterprises, or pursue advanced culinary careers.
