About Cinematography
DYEN's Cinematography program is a free, scholarship-based filmmaking course in Delta State that trains students in the complete art and craft of cinematography. From understanding the exposure triangle and camera movements to mastering lighting setups, sound recording, documentary filmmaking, video editing, and color grading, this program covers every stage of the film production pipeline.
The hands-on curriculum ensures students spend the majority of their time behind the camera, on set, and in the editing suite. Students shoot real scenes, record and edit dialogue, produce documentary and testimonial films, and complete a capstone project that demonstrates their full range of cinematography and post-production skills. This cinematography training in Warri is built on the principle that filmmakers learn by making films.
